Woman refuses to attend entitled sister's wedding after she imposes a ‘wedding tax’ on her family, expecting them to contribute upwards of $1K toward her wedding expenses

Wedding financing is a hot topic in the wedding planning community. If you're not familiar, you should know: Weddings are extremely expensive. Many couples spend years of their lives engaged in order to be comfortable fronting the cost of their fairytale ceremony and reception. Some folks are lucky enough to have high-paying careers and/or well-off family members who can help them out, so budgeting isn't really an issue. If a couple wants a flashy wedding, though, they should be ready to fund it themselves. Imposing a "wedding tax" on their families is in poor taste and exhibits top-tier entitlement.
