This neighbor really "meat" his match when he hit this homeowner's car and then blatantly lied about it when confronted… 

After his doomsday "prepper" neighbor blatantly lied about hitting his car, this homeowner lay in wait, waiting for the perfect opportunity. He knew his neighbor had freezers full of meat from his hunting that he was saving "just in case," so when his neighbor left on vacation, he decided that faking a power outage that "spoiled" the meat was the best way to get even.

For how concerned his neighbor was about worst-case-scenario events, he certainly didn't stop to think twice about the fact that he was letting someone who he had screwed over to have unrestricted access to his home. So, when the neighbor left for vacation he took his chance, betraying the trust that the neighbor had placed in him in order to get even. One can't help but wonder, since his neighbor so obviously trusted him, he either was not the brightest bulb in the bunch or it was some other random third party who had damaged the car with a similar vehicle.
